General Rules
01. Respect everyone. We do not tolerate members harassing other members because of someone's race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, etc. Breaking this rule results in an immediate ban.
02. Our site is rated PG-13. Violence is expected on the site, and we don't really have a limit on how violent the content can get. We however, do not allow any sexual content on the site. If it does happen, don't write it out, just say it happened. Sexual references are allowed, however, don't go overboard.
03. Remain active. Don't join the site just to leave a week later. If you are going to be absent, post a notice in the absence board. We do have activity checks on the site, so if you are going to be gone, leave a notice so you aren't accidentally deleted.

Registration
01. The Next Prophecy runs on a one account per character. This means that for each character you make, you need to make another account for them before you can register them.
02. When creating accounts, your username (the name you sign up with) does not have to be your character's name, however, it will be changed when your character is accepted. Your display name must be in capital letters, with the first, middle, and last name of your character. If your character goes by a nickname (ex. Percy Jackson), you may use that nickname as the first name.

Character Creation
01. You are allowed to have as many characters as you want. However, you must be able to keep up with each of them. If you decide you don't want one of your characters anymore, you may kill them off or put them up for adoption.
02. Each member is allowed one child of the Big Three (Zeus, Poseidon, or Hades). Do not try to cheat this rule: if we find you have two characters, both will be killed and you will be banned from creating another child of the Big Three for a month. Breaking this rule for a second time results in a permanent loss of the privilege of having this child.
03. With the exception of Athena, you are not allowed to create a child of the virgin goddesses. Hera is included. This means no children of Hera, Hestia, and Artemis. Though Athena is a virgin goddess, her children are born from her head, which must be the way any child of Athena is birthed. Artemis is allowed to have hunters, but they must be female maidens.
04. Every cabin gets one cabin leader, with the exception of the Minor Gods and Goddesses, who get two. Members are only allowed to have one cabin leader, to keep it fair for everyone.

Roleplaying
01. You are not allowed to start roleplaying until your character is accepted, no exceptions. If we catch you doing this, your post will be deleted, and you will receive a warning.
02. There is not a limit on how many threads you are allowed to participate in at a time, but don't participate in more threads than what you can handle. Also, be respectful when joining in threads.
03. We have a minimum word count of two hundred words, or two complete paragraphs. However, we do ask that you try to match the word count of your fellow threader, so they have at least something to work off of.

Quests
01. Quests are given out randomly by the staff to characters. If you are interested in being on a quest, PM a staff member. It should be noted however, that this will not guarantee you getting a quest. They are given out based on the member's involvement and attitude towards the site. They are rewards, not requirements.
02. If your character receives a quest, you are to pick two other members for the quest, unless otherwise stated in the quest. Everything is done in pairs of three, and quests are no different. Choose your quest members carefully, they could either kill or save you during quests.
03. Prophecies are controlled by the staff, and therefore, you will not know what will happen during the quest, only what is stated by the staff members and the prophecy given to you. Because of this, staff members will be involved heavily during the quests, and will have random encounters during quests.
04. For members playing gods, they are only allowed to help through indirect means. For instance, they can give advice to the questing members, and they can send help to the Demigods if prayed to, however, unless given permission from a staff member, they may not involve themselves directly.
